DONOR INFORMATION
When provided voluntarily by the donor in writing, verbally or on-line, SOS will collect personal information, such as name, home and/or business address, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses. We do not collect or store credit card numbers (third-party services that we use to accept donations via credit card may require credit card information so that donations may be processed, but we never receive the credit card information). If a donor requests that a gift be made in the name of another person, entity, or cause, we will also collect information regarding that person, entity, or cause sufficient so that we may notify them of the gift made.
Donors also have the option of making a gift anonymously. When a donor makes a gift anonymously, the third-party services we use to process those gifts do not provide us with any of the donor’s personal information that may otherwise be needed to authorize the corresponding credit card charge.
We may also publish donors’ names on our website or other publications to recognize the gift made but will only do so with the donor’s prior approval.
Other than publishing donors’ names in recognition of gifts given, SOS does not sell, rent, exchange, or otherwise share donor information with anyone outside of the SOS organization. Any personal information that donors provide to SOS will not be disseminated to third parties.

In the unlikely event that such a reorganization or merger occur, we will require the transferee to use the personal information you have provided through this website in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy.
