Philanthropy Truly Begins at Home!

BRANDON AKS

SOS Children’s Villages Florida is thrilled to spotlight Brandon Aks, an exceptional youth advocate and student at FAU High School in Boca Raton, Florida. Despite the demands of his FAU High School curriculum, Brandon embodies the ethics of philanthropy and community engagement. Balancing his college-level courses and navigating an accelerated curriculum, Brandon is driven by a deeply rooted passion for helping others. His unwavering commitment to both academic excellence and humanitarian endeavors demonstrates his determination to enact positive and meaningful change. Brandon’s journey serves as a testament to the values of compassion, leadership, and civic duty instilled in him from a young age.

Under the guidance of his parents, Brett and Pam Aks, Brandon was introduced to philanthropy at a young age. Brett, Chief Revenue Officer at iPower Technologies and a committed board member of SOS Children’s Villages Florida, Brett instilled in Brandon a deep appreciation for the importance of helping others and being involved with the needs of a community.

As Brandon progressed through his high school years, now a rising senior, his passion for service only grew stronger. Despite the demands of his academic studies, Brandon dedicated his time and efforts to supporting SOS Children’s Villages in various ways. One of his unique services was assisting parents with toy assembly during the holiday season. Recognizing the pressure on busy parents to create a perfect holiday morning for their children, Brandon selflessly offered his expertise in deciphering intricate toy directions, all in exchange for a donation.

One of Brandon’s innovative fundraising initiatives was selling Superbowl Squares at family Superbowl gatherings. Through these events, he received support of relatives and friends, all in the name of supporting SOS Children’s Villages.

Brandon’s commitment to philanthropy extended beyond his personal endeavors. Through his advocacy efforts, he secured a donation matching program with his employer, Starbucks, demonstrating his leadership skills and dedication.

To date, Brandon has raised an impressive $1,440 for SOS Children’s Villages Florida. His unwavering dedication serves as a beacon of inspiration for young people and community members alike.

As we celebrate Brandon’s remarkable achievements, we commend his family for nurturing his compassionate spirit and guiding him on his philanthropic journey. His story underscores the transformative power of youth engagement in philanthropy and the potential for positive change within our communities.

Brandon Aks truly embodies the values upheld by SOS Children’s Villages Florida, and we are proud to feature him in this month’s newsletter. We look forward to being part of the continued impact of Brandon’s endeavors as he inspires other young adults to make a difference too.
